Tasks
- Teaching courses in quantitative (and qualitative) research methods in sport science
- Participation in sport psychology teachingMethodological consulting and support, particularly in study design, data collection and processing, and statistics
- Participation in research projects in sport science, particularly in sport psychology (Co-)supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses
- Contribution to the organization, implementation, and evaluation of the aptitude test for admission to the sport science study program at the University of Bern
- Participation in academic self-administration
Requirements
Completed university degree, preferably in sport science with a focus on research methods and sport psychology
- For an assistant professorship with tenure track: a PhD is required;for an associate professorship, a habilitation (or equivalent qualification) is desired
- Teaching competence and experience in quantitative research methods in a social and behavioral science-oriented sport science
- Excellent expertise (including research and publication record) in quantitative methods of social and behavioral sport science
- Knowledge and teaching experience in qualitative research methods are desirable
- Familiarity with complex data collection and analysis techniques (e.g., machine learning) is an asset
- Experience in academic administration is desirable
